Since the Center for Applied Research opened its doors in 1989 it has completed projects for a wide variety of clientele.

The Center has participated in and directed work for numerous private and non-profit organizations, has been retained by state and local governments, and has conducted many projects for various departments of the Federal government. We have also worked very closely with Native American tribal governments in Arizona, California, Colorado, New Mexico, North Dakota, Washington and Wyoming.

The Center has extensive experience in socio-economic impact assessments, including projects concerned with outdoor recreation, tourism, mining and natural resource development in the Rocky Mountain West. In recent years, the Center has developed an in-depth knowledge of the changing ethnic, demographic, socio-cultural and migration characteristics of work forces in the Western United States.
