Since 1989, the Center for Applied Research has been providing economic services to private industry, government, and non-profit organizations throughout the United States. The Company is also widely regarded for its work for American Indian Tribes, elements of which have been presented to U.S. Congressional committees. The Center’s work for Indian Tribes has required the development of specialized models that are used to establish the monetary value of Reservation lands designated for utility easements or other land-based economic development activities on Reservations.
We draw on the expertise of mathematicians, economists, sociologists, engineers, appraisers, environmental scientists, lawyers and anthropologists to formulate a proper value of Indian land and then negotiate a fair monetary fee for its use.
The sophistication of our data allows us to calculate defensible measures of the time value of monetary payments, interest and discount rates, workforce participation rates and other economic variables, placing all of them in an informed, contemporary context.
